2000-2001 Seattle UDL Tournaments
Rainier Beach HS - May 19, 2001
Cleveland HS - June 2, 2001

The SDF and Cleveland HS hosted the second Seattle Urban Debate League Tournament on Saturday, June 2, 2001. 26 Students from 4 schools participated in the tournament. Ingraham HS won the team sweepstakes award. The Garfield team of Owuor Arunga and Josh Thomas won first place, and Arunga was top speaker.

The tournament would not have been possible without generous support from volunteers and community businesses. The judge pool consisted of teachers, mentors, and 12 volunteers, all of whom donated their time to help teach debate. The SDF would also like to thank Washington Awards, Safeway, and Mad Pizza for their donations.
